Meet Rebecca

Hello! I’m Rebecca. I’m a wife, mom, event planner and former journalist. Rebecca Waldrop Events & Communications was launched in early 2020 and was a now-or-never opportunity that I gladly accepted after relocating to Atlanta after spending several years in Washington, D.C. Although the beginning of a global pandemic was definitely not part of the launch plan, I worked with clients to successfully transition their events to virtual platforms and have helped them navigate the new normal of virtual, live and hybrid events.

With more than 15 years of experience successfully planning and managing events ranging in size from 10 to 2,500 people coupled with a background in communications, the events that I plan are marked by:

Comprehensive event plans that can be implemented effectively
Strategic communication plans that support the overarching event goal
Outcomes that support the mission of the organization and achieve primary event goals

What I enjoy most about planning events is the integral role of strategic communication to the success of an event; the immediacy of knowing if a plan worked; and having a visible, quantifiable return on the time and effort invested in planning.

One of my goals is for clients to walk into their event feeling prepared, confident and able to actually enjoy the event. That’s possible by planning for every known detail (even as specific as the number of trash bins and where they’re placed!); thoroughly preparing all participants and materials prior to the event; ensuring that all aspects of the event and communication plans add value and support the primary event goal; and creating a plan that allows time to address anything that may come up unexpectedly before or during the event.
